Here's a tutorial that I worked through. I wanted to learn how to do the fuzzy background.  It worked pretty well but next time I'll use paper with less texture.

Sunshine

My latest colored pencil piece.  Many layers of colored pencil on white paper.  You can see some of the colors that went into the black around the edges.  Several colors and about 20 layers of application are on the flowers.

Done with Prismacolor, Polychromos, and Caran d'Ache on Strathmore Colored Pencil Paper. Image size 10X12 inches on 11X14 paper.  From my own photo.
